Overview
TokenDance Code is a local coding agent in development. This guide covers the Rust preview (0.3.0-rs.0) in the public source repository.
What you can try
Build the CLI from source, start an interactive session, run a prompt with the built-in test provider, and inspect the resulting session and JSONL records. These flows let you explore the command line without a model account or API key.
The current CLI uses a simulated provider for both run and interactive sessions. It echoes the prompt as mock response: ...; it does not call a real model or carry out a coding task. The runtime library includes model adapters and local tools, but the default CLI has not connected those adapters yet.
Start here
- Quickstart: build the preview and check the expected output.
- CLI reference: supported commands and argument order.
- Configuration: inspect settings without assuming they change the active CLI provider.
- Development status: the source baseline, package status, and remaining work.
For contributors
The project is developing local code reading, editing, command execution, and permission controls. See Architecture for the Rust crate boundaries and Providers for the adapter layer.
Historical AgentHub and TokenDanceID pages remain available under Historical integrations. They document earlier SDK contracts and are not prerequisites for this preview.
