Architecture
Rust workspace
| Crate | Responsibility |
|---|---|
tokendance-cli | Command parsing, interactive entry point, diagnostics, and session inspection |
tokendance-core | Runtime, provider and tool APIs, permission decisions, and transcript storage |
tokendance-sdk | Programmatic facade and historical integration contracts |
The current CLI constructs a runtime with the simulated provider. A provider returning tool calls can use the runtime’s registered tools and permission checks, but the preview CLI does not yet wire in a real provider selection path.
Local records
CLI sessions live under .tokendance-rs/ in the working directory. session.json carries session metadata and transcript.jsonl carries the run records. Use the CLI inspection commands instead of assuming that older .tokendance/ paths describe Rust sessions.
Earlier implementation
The repository also retains TypeScript sources under packages/. Their commands, npm import contracts, AgentHub integration, and TokenDanceID helpers are historical context. The Rust npm wrapper delegates to a Rust binary and has no TypeScript fallback.
Provider modules, SDK facades, and CLI entry points should be assessed separately. A library module’s presence or test coverage does not mean the corresponding end-user workflow is exposed by the CLI.
The public source workspace owns implementation details. The development status records the version covered by these guides.
